Hey, How would you like to win some cool Anthology swag?

Here's How!

Right now, just click on this link to a post in the Anthology Open Mic Forum, and post a response that you saw it, and you'll be entered into a drawing to win:

You choice of one item that we have featured in the Anthology CafePress Store, located here: Anthology Cafepress Store.

BUT WAIT, THERE"S MORE!

Ok, if you also post in your message on the Anthology Forum, a link to your journal, blog, myspace (blog), Facebook, LiveJournal, one of the image ads that are listed in the originating post on the Anthology Forum, and a link to Anthology.org, we'll add a second entry to your chances!

OH, YOU KNOW THERE'S MORE THAN THAT!

Now, you will not need to be present to win the CafePress item, but, if you go do go to the show on January 8th, not only will you be able to witness Klute performing the drawing, he'll also do some additional drawings-

Five additional Drawings:

  • 2001 Mesa National Slamoff CD
  • 2003 Mesa National Slamoff CD
  • 2004 Mesa National Slamoff CD
  • 2007 Mesa National Slamoff CD
It's that simple. You must be present to win one of the CD's, and each person may only have a maximum of two entries. The cutoff time for entries is Monday, January 5th, 2009. the link that you post must be valid at the time we check it, which could be anytime up until January 5th, 2009. If the winner of the CafePress Item is not present at the January 8th event, they will be contacted using the information of their Anthology membership profile.

It's OK, go ahead and poke around, you won't hurt anything.

We invite you to register a user name and password, which is free, and gain access to areas of the site that are exclusive for registered persons, including:

Anthology's new forums, the central place to discuss literary events in the greater Phoenix area.

Anthology's literary giftshop, the best place to get CD's, T-Shirts and other items centered on local artists.

Anthology's new workshops, where you can improve your writing at your own pace and discuss the results with your peers.

These are just three of the tremendous benefits that Anthology's new website offers to our supporters and participants. Join us in celebrating the literary arts in Phoenix, and help to draw attention to the wealth of talent and opportunity that the literary arts in Phoenix presents.

By the way, you may see some event information including dates, times, etc.

OK, I've been getting various emails about the future of Slam in Mesa and what's happening, and we- meaning me and to some extend Klute, have been setting up a new venue and series, and we are ready to start taking reservations for features.

In all honesty, we are starting pretty much from scratch, so payment is not guarenteed unless you have worked out seperate arrangements with Klute, or I, but it will be a percentage of the door.

We have the following dates with availability:

January 15th (Slam Night)
Feb 19th (Slam Night)
March 5th (Slam Night)
March 12th (Open Mic Night)
March 19th (Slam Night)
April 2nd (Slam Night)
April 9th (Open Mic Night)
April 16 (Slam Night)

For more information online, visit each event's home page on the site here.

Please feel free to email me ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or Klute ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) for additional details and to discuss a date (to read poetry) :-)
